Wrexham head into transfer deadline day with work still to be done as Phil Parkinson looks for business both in and out of the club.

Transfer deadline day is here, and Wrexham fans can expect a busy day.

Phil Parkinson is expecting plenty of business, both in terms of incomings and outgoings.

Wrexham have snapped up 10 signings this summer, but Parkinson looks ready to bring in some more new faces.

Wrexham’s squad is already a little on the large side, though, and may need to move some players out of Wrexham on deadline day.

With that in mind, here are eight deals we could see Wrexham complete on deadline day…

Ben Sheaf to Wrexham

This one looks to be on the verge of completion, with reports on Sunday claiming that Wrexham are close to signing Ben Sheaf from Coventry City.

A £6.5million deal has been agreed, and Sheaf is undergoing a medical on deadline day ahead of sealing a move to the STōK Cae Ras.

Zak Vyner to Wrexham

Wrexham also fancy signing Zak Vyner from Bristol City, but have seen the Robins reject two bids so far.

Offers of £1.75million and £2million have been snubbed, but Wrexham could up the ante on deadline day to try and bring the defender to North Wales.

Darko Gyabi to Wrexham

Reports over the weekend claimed that Wrexham are chasing Leeds United midfielder Darko Gyabi ahead of the deadline.

Hull City, Watford, Lorient and Metz are all keen, with Leeds keen to move him on either on loan or permanently, so he is one to watch on deadline day.

Jack Robinson to Wrexham

Frankly, we thought Wrexham’s interest in Jack Robinson had faded away once Callum Doyle arrived from Manchester City.

Wrexham are allegedly still keen on Robinson, though, with the Sheffield United captain another left-sided centre-back option.

Another midfielder on the radar, Wrexham are interested in Kenny McLean, another player who is captaining his current side.

The Norwich City ace is also wanted by Rangers, though, and having grown up supporting the Gers, this could be a tough pursuit.

Jordan James to Wrexham

Parkinson admitted his interest in Jordan James last week, with the Welsh international certainly on Wrexham’s radar.

Speculation around the Rennes midfielder has cooled in recent days, though, and it’s unclear whether Wrexham intend to move for James alongside Sheaf.

Thomas O’Connor to leave Wrexham

One man who could leave Wrexham on deadline day is defender Thomas O’Connor.

Reports claim that O’Connor is considering leaving Wrexham ahead of the deadline, having seen a new left-footed defender arrive in Callum Doyle.

Aaron James to Falkirk

Reporter Pete O’Rourke claimed on Sunday that Scottish side Falkirk are chasing a loan deal for Wrexham defender Aaron James.

The 20-year-old featured in the Carabao Cup in August, but may be sent up to Scotland for more first-team exposure.
