Wrexham have a new transfer target in Sivert Mannsverk, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Cardiff City.
Wrexham have seen a flurry of transfer rumours emerge in the last 24 hours or so, as the club readies to head back to Wales following their pre-season tour down under.
On Saturday, Wrexham lost 1-0 against Wellington Phoenix in their final game of the tour, with Phil Parkinson’s side beating Melbourne Victory and losing against Sydney FC in the other two games.
Whilst on the tour, Wrexham completed the signing of Liberato Cacace who becomes the third player to arrive at the Racecourse this summer, after Ryan Hardie and Danny Ward.

Who is Wrexham transfer target Sivert Mannsverk?
On Friday reports emerged stating that Wrexham are interested in signing Sivert Mannsverk on loan from Dutch giants Ajax this summer.
The 23-year-old Norwegian spent the second half of last season on loan with Welsh rivals Cardiff City where he played 14 times in the Championship, though he couldn’t prevent the Bluebirds from relegation to League One.
Formerly of Molde, Ajax signed central midfielder Mannsverk in 2023 and he’s so far made 15 Eredivisie appearances for the club.
What did Cardiff City fans make of Sivert Mannsverk last season?
Cardiff City fans have had a lot to say about Mannsverk on social media. And the general consensus is that he’s a very good player with great technical ability, but he was simply playing in a very poor Cardiff City side.
One fan posted: “Looked decent to start but we trained the talent out of him.” And a similar, lengthier comment read: “Was kind of the right player wrong time with us. We could’ve signed Messi in that January window and still finished bottom.
“He has great technical ability and is a smart player. Should do well for a team that likes to keep hold of the ball and plays with a high intensity.”
Another Cardiff supporter posted: “Was too good for us last year. Got good quality for the Championship.”
And this fan added: “Even though Cardiff tanked you really could see the quality in him. Well worth a punt for most Championship sides.”
Wrexham are set to play two more friendlies upon their return to the UK, with their Championship opener against Southampton on August 9th.
