Matty James is the latest addition to Wrexham’s ranks and is seemingly loving life at the Racecourse Ground.
Matty James recently joined Wrexham on a free transfer, arriving following an injury to George Evans.
Phil Parkinson needed fresh legs in the centre of the park, especially with George Dobson and Andy Cannon close to suspension owing to yellow cards – the latter of which has now picked up five.
James made his first appearance in a Wrexham shirt versus Portvale in the EFL Trophy last week.
Parkinson praised James following his debut, highlighting his ‘great control in the middle of the pitch’ during the cup clash.
That outing was then followed by a five-minute cameo against Stockport County this past weekend, which saw Wrexham succumb to a 1-0 defeat.
The Red Dragons are back in action against Stockport County this Saturday and James will no doubt be eager to prove himself once more.

What Matty James said about Wrexham will please Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney
Prior to joining Wrexham on a free transfer, James spent three years plying his trade in the Championship with Bristol City.
Formerly of Manchester United, the 33-year-old has spent the bulk of his playing career in the second tier and Premier League.
However, the fact he has now dropped down to League One does not bother the midfielder, who thinks a lot of other Championship players will now want to move to Wrexham, as per Leader Live.
He said: “Wrexham asked me to come in and I was absolutely buzzing because they are at the top end of the division and everybody knows the ambition is there.
“For me it is about playing football but having played as many games as I did in the Championship, it was about something that still excited me and somewhere that wants to move forward.
“I think a lot of players who are playing for Championship clubs now would love to have the opportunity to come and play for Wrexham.
“It is an opportunity for me and I am going to try and grab it with both hands.”
Such a claim will no doubt be music to the ears of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, especially as Wrexham want to sign a striker with Championship experience in January.

Matty James comments on Wrexham future
James is only on a short-term contract in Wales that will expire at the beginning of January next year.
Given the level of quality at Wrexham, James will have to show a lot if he is to earn another deal in the second half of 2024/25.
And in the same interview from Leader, James shared an insight into how he is feeling about his future ahead of January.
He said: “Now the aim is to give everything I possibly can to Wrexham from now until January and see what happens.
“I am going to do that every single day; give my all every time I get on the pitch, give 100 per cent and we will see where that takes us come January.”
