Wrexham are planning a major squad overhaul this summer following promotion from League One.
Phil Parkinson expects departures from the club as Mark Howard and Jordan Davies have already been released by the club. Fans have reacted angrily to Steven Fletcher’s Wrexham exit.
However, additions will now surely be made by Parkinson as he prepares to mould a 25-man Wrexham squad ready to compete in the Championship.
Wrexham offered a contract to Tom Cairney and have also been linked with the likes of Tom Lawrence and Callum Robinson. Another transfer target in Leeds striker Patrick Bamford has also just hinted on his future plans.

Patrick Bamford hints at future plans amid Wrexham links
Speaking to former Wrexham goalkeeper Ben Foster on the latest episode of the ‘Fozcast’, Bamford has hinted at his future plans as Leeds prepare to embark on their Premier League adventure.
Bamford was asked about his future and stated: “I’d like to play for one as long as I still enjoy it and two I can still stay at a good level,
“I think, I reckon I’ve still got a good five years and I feel alright now but as soon as one of them two goes I think I’d then say I’m not going to force it.
The 31-year-old striker made 17 appearances for Leeds in the Championship this season but failed to register a goal or assist.
Wrexham are interested in Bamford once again this summer after failing to land the striker in the January window.
Wrexham should steer clear of signing Patrick Bamford
Whilst there is no denying Bamford’s quality and experience in the second tier, his injury record means that the Red Dragons should focus their attention elsewhere this summer.
The England international has been hampered by hamstring and groin issues in recent seasons and after signing Jay Rodriguez in January, Parkinson should be looking at a more youthful signing in attack.
Wrexham could explore the loan market this summer and snap up some promising Premier League youngsters such as Liverpool’s Jayden Danns to help their cause.
Meanwhile League One could also be a transfer option for Wrexham with the likes of Charlie Kelman potentially available after scoring an impressive 27 goals this season.
