Wrexham continue to chase further additions to Phil Parkinson’s squad ahead of Monday’s transfer deadline, with a midfielder wanted.
Wrexham’s summer business has brought 10 new signings to Phil Parkinson’s ranks, with more than £20million committed to new additions.
Ryan Hardie, Danny Ward, Liberato Cacace, George Thomason, Josh Windass, Lewis O’Brien, Conor Coady, Kieffer Moore, Nathan Broadhead and Callum Doyle have all arrived in a busy summer window.
Parkinson has admitted wanting more signings, believing that he still needs further additions to really bring the Wrexham squad to the level he is seeking.
The clock is ticking, but Wrexham appear to be focusing on signing a new midfielder to bolster Parkinson’s engine room.

Phil Parkinson on Jordan James
Reports on Sunday suggested that Wrexham had bids on the table for three midfielders.
West Ham United’s Andy Irving, Stade Rennais ace Jordan James and Southampton’s Will Smallbone were all mentioned.
Irving has allegedly snubbed Wrexham, with Wales international James emerging as Parkinson’s top target.
James only joined Rennes from Birmingham City last summer, but could be on the move once again.
Parkinson has now told BBC Sport that Wrexham have taken a look at James and have been tracking his progress since leaving Birmingham.
Parkinson added that James is just one of a number of targets, though, refusing to be drawn on whether he could arrive before the transfer deadline.
“He’s a player we’ve looked at, also I know him from his time at Birmingham as well and followed his progress in the Welsh team and Rennes,” said Parkinson.
“Obviously (he’s) a good player, but he’s just one of a lot of players we’ve looked at over the last month or so,” he added.
Phil Parkinson comments on Wrexham ins and outs amid Ollie Palmer rumours
Parkinson will be hopeful of incoming deals, but he will also need to move some players on.
Wrexham’s squad is bloated right now, and Parkinson currently runs the risk of having players on the sidelines due to Championship squad registration rules.
Parkinson claims that there is nothing imminent in or out of Wrexham right now, though that may not be entirely true.
Reports suggest Ollie Palmer is set to join Swindon Town, but Parkinson claims he is just focused on this weekend’s game against Millwall.
“Nothing imminent (in terms of) ins or outs, we’re concentrating on the game at the weekend, that’s where we are,” said Parkinson.
“We’ve signed some good players, I think the squad is decent. Obviously, the injuries have been frustrating, particularly with the new lads because it’s limited our ability to integrate them with the squad into the team, but in general, when the window closes, we’ve put together a squad which is decent,” he added.
Other departures could emerge, with Thomas O’Connor considering his Wrexham future and Dan Scarr wanted in League One as Parkinson puts the finishing touches to his squad.
