Wrexham recently snapped up four new signings ahead of the new Championship season, but Phil Parkinson’s business isn’t finished just yet.
Wrexham’s Championship campaign is looming large, with less than two weeks to go until the big kick-off.
Phil Parkinson takes his side to face Southampton on the opening weekend and has been strengthening his squad ahead of the new season.
Liberato Cacace joined Wrexham from Empoli, becoming the first player to join from an overseas club in the Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds era.
George Thomason and Josh Windass followed, before Lewis O’Brien joined Wrexham from Nottingham Forest on Thursday.
Seeing four signings arrive in less than a week was exciting enough, but Parkinson is now hunting more signings.

Phil Parkinson on Wrexham transfers
Parkinson doesn’t want to stop now, with those four additions bringing Wrexham’s recruitment drive up to six new faces.
More signings are wanted, though Wrexham also need to let players go, with Jacob Mendy now available on loan.
Parkinson has now told BBC Sport Wales that he and Wrexham still have a lot of work to do in the transfer market.
Parkinson admitted that he doesn’t think the Wrexham squad is where it needs to be just yet, so he discussed the ‘next deal’ with his staff on Tuesday.
The Wrexham boss noted that he is looking at a number of potential signings, both at home and abroad, comments which should excite Wrexham fans.
Parkinson added that it’s ‘difficult to say’ whether Wrexham will have more signings on board before facing Southampton, with the end of the transfer window his only target for now.
“We’ve got work to do,” said Parkinson.
“I don’t think we’re where we need to be yet, so we’re working on several other situations. We’ve just finished training now, we’re going to catch up as a staff and go through our next deal we want to kind of push towards getting over the line, but like our supporters know, the landscape changes in the transfer market very quickly from one week to the next and we’re looking at lots of options here and abroad.
“Of course, ideally, we’d like to make a couple more additions. Is that going to happen before the start of the season? It’s difficult to say. But the most important thing is by the end of August, we’ve got a squad in here which we feel can compete,” he added.
Who could Wrexham sign next?
Wrexham have been linked with so many players this summer, but the first name that springs to mind right now is Kieffer Moore.
Wrexham have already added Windass and Ryan Hardie, but Parkinson loves a target man.
Reports suggest that Wrexham are ready to move for Moore, potentially in a £4million swoop with wages over £30,000-a-week.
That price tag seems a little lofty, especially with Moore now approaching his 33rd birthday.
Moore is a target, though, and the increased speculation around a move for the giant forward suggests that he could be the next priority.
Wrexham will also explore signings in defence, with a couple of different routes in mind for Parkinson.
Parkinson could bolster the heart of his back three, with Wrexham eyeing free agent Craig Dawson earlier this summer.
Alternatively, Wrexham could look to add a natural left-footer to add to the back three, with Lewis Brunt a right-footer and Thomas O’Connor in and out of the side.
Parkinson may have other positions in mind as well, but much will depend on players who decide to leave Wrexham and pursue opportunities elsewhere, with the final month of the transfer window now fast approaching.
