Wrexham have already completed their first signing of the summer, but they were prevented from making signings earlier this month.
Unlike previous summer transfer windows, Wrexham actually got off to a pretty fast start.
Barring Arthur Okonkwo last year, who had already spent time on loan at the club, the Red Dragons don’t typically make signings under Phil Parkinson until July.
However, Wrexham signed Ryan Hardie from Plymouth Argyle earlier this week.
Hardie has signed for £700,000 and has been sent a message by Rob McElhenney following the transfer.
The striker arrived on June 16, the same day that the second summer transfer window began after its brief closure.

Why Wrexham couldn’t complete transfers
Because of the new Club World Cup, the transfer window was first opened on June 1 before closing on June 10.
This early window was put in place to allow sides competing in the tournament to register new signings.
Other teams also got business done earlier this month, but Wrexham were actually unable to make additions in that first window apart from pre-contracts.
Journalist Rich Fay has explained why on the Rob Ryan Red podcast this week.
He said: “This is something I was going to correct from last week, which I didn’t bring up before. Spoke to someone associated with the club, and they said the Club World Cup transfer window, we kind of said ‘oh Wrexham didn’t sign anyone’.
“Wrexham actually couldn’t sign anyone in that window.
“It was only pre-contract agreements, which obviously Swansea did three or four of for the end of the month.
“But because it’s the Welsh FA and there’s no Welsh teams in the Club World Cup, that first 10-day window didn’t actually apply to Wrexham at all. So, we may have got a bit too giddy and critical for no reason whatsoever.”

Who are Wrexham trying to sign
With the window pretty much closed for Wrexham until Monday, getting Hardie over the line so quickly was great business from the club.
But a lot more movement is expected at the Racecourse Ground over the next few months.
Wrexham have had talks with Tommy Doyle over a potential transfer from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Barry Bannan is linked to the Red Dragons amid his ongoing contract situation at Sheffield Wednesday.
On a less positive note, Joe Gelhardt is unlikely to sign for Wrexham permanently this summer.
