Wrexham striker Paul Mullin has been in talks about leaving the club in the summer transfer window.
Paul Mullin remains under contract with the Welsh outfit until the summer of 2027.
However, Wigan Athletic want to sign Mullin, and it was reported previously that he could be allowed to depart Wrexham for free.
This is due to his high wages making a potential exit difficult this summer.
Now, a fresh update on Mullin joining Wigan has emerged this week, with it claimed he is in talks with the League One club, who are eyeing up two new strikers in the current transfer window.
Amid transfer interest from the third-tier side, club legend Andy Morrell has been commenting on the Liverpool-born forward.

Andy Morrell sends Paul Mullin transfer plea to Wrexham
Mullin has three Wrexham Player of the Season awards and finished as their top goalscorer from 2021/22 to 2023/24.
However, he was axed from the League One squad at the end of January following the arrivals of Jay Rodriguez and Sam Smith.
In the latest episode of Welcome to Wrexham, Mullin spoke about playing in the Championship for the Hollywood-backed side.
And now, Morrell has been commenting on the striker’s future and admitted he’d love to see him given a chance in the second tier.
He said, as per BBC Sport: “I would love it if he stayed and gave himself that chance. We all know he’s got goals in him, he’s a finisher, and we’ve seen him show it against Championship sides in the past.
“I hope he comes back really fit and goes and smashes pre-season – and perhaps gives the manager a decision to make.
“His mind may already be made up, he (Mullin) may already have been told, but I’d love to see him give it that shot and make sure Phil Parkinson has got to make that decision. I’d love to see him get that chance in the Championship.”

What has Phil Parkinson said about Paul Mullin
After losing his place over the winter, Wrexham fans called for Mullin to return throughout the remainder of 2024/25.
But even on the final day against Lincoln City, when promotion was already secured, both he and Ollie Palmer were once again left out.
But, in Season 4 Episode 6 of Welcome to Wrexham, which aired this past Friday, Parkinson explained dropping Mullin and Palmer.
He said: “When we brought two strikers in January, we always knew we’d have a surplus of, and people would find themselves out of the 18-man squad because you can only have seven substitutes.
“That’s the way it is. Mulls didn’t just quite get the goals, which he normally does, and I thought he had a good start to the season, and his general performances were decent, but the goals just didn’t come, and we just needed more from the player in that number nine role.
“So Paul and Ollie found themselves out of the 18-man squad. It’s a harder level than we’d been operating at. So, both good lads, really good lads, have carried on training well for us. But it’s tough, it’s a competitive division, to make the step up is not easy.”
