Wrexham are looking to bring in two more attacking players, meaning Jake Bickerstaff could be pushed even further down the pecking order.
Wrexham may have snapped up Sam Smith and Jay Rodriguez in January, but Phil Parkinson has still brought changes to his attacking options.
Steven Fletcher was released, and Paul Mullin was sent on loan to Wigan Athletic, paving the way for new recruits.
Ryan Hardie and Josh Windass have joined Wrexham this summer, and more attacking quality appears to be inbound.
Wrexham are closing in on Nathan Broadhead in a £7.5million move from Ipswich Town, while Parkinson is also eyeing Kieffer Moore.
If Broadhead and Moore both join, Wrexham will surely look to offload some forwards from Parkinson’s squad.

Cheltenham Town set for striker signing amid Jake Bickerstaff interest
Ollie Palmer’s future has been in doubt throughout 2025, and Modou Faal surely needs a loan move to aid his development.
Then there is Jake Bickerstaff, who has spent the last 18 months out on loan away from Wrexham.
Bickerstaff joined Accrington Stanley in 2024, before heading to National League side Altrincham last season.
The 23-year-old has come up in the Wrexham ranks, but first-team prospects have been waning in recent years, and he could be on the move again.
Cheltenham Town recently took Bickerstaff on trial, and he scored in a pre-season friendly against Swansea City.
Cheltenham have played in two friendlies since then, but Bickerstaff hasn’t been involved on either occasion.
Gloucestershire Live’s Jon Palmer has reported that Cheltenham are now expected to sign a striker on loan before their League Two campaign begins.
Cheltenham travel to Cambridge United to start their season this weekend, and hope to have a new striker on board.
That mystery signing may well be Bickerstaff, especially after he made such a positive impact during his trial appearance.
Jake Bickerstaff unlikely to land Wrexham contract
There is potential in Bickerstaff, but Wrexham’s rapid progression through the leagues means first-team opportunities have not been forthcoming.
Bickerstaff signed a new Wrexham contract in December 2023, committing his future to the club until 2026.
Wrexham have been promoted twice since the ink dried on that contract, and Bickerstaff has slipped down the pecking order.
Wrexham may well be open to loaning Bickerstaff out for the final year of his contract, before allowing him to leave for nothing next summer.
Jordan Davies found himself in a similar position a year ago and now finds himself as a free agent after a spell with Grimsby Town.
One way or another, Bickerstaff is likely to have played his final game for Wrexham, but fans will wish him all the best and continue to track his progress away from the STōK Cae Ras.
