Wrexham are still chasing attacking additions with one new target emerging on Phil Parkinson’s radar ahead of the new Championship season.
Wrexham snapped up Conor Coady on Friday, bringing the defender to the STōK Cae Ras in a deal worth around £2million.
Coady will bolster Wrexham’s back line and should slot right into the middle of Phil Parkinson’s back three, the position he predominantly played at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Parkinson is closing in on another signing, with Kieffer Moore undergoing a Wrexham medical over the weekend.
The Welsh striker is unlikely to be Wrexham’s final attacking addition of the summer, with Nathan Broadhead Parkinson’s next top target.
Broadhead has played for Ipswich over the weekend, meaning a move to Wrexham does not appear to be imminent.

Wrexham monitoring Liverpool’s Lewis Koumas
Wrexham may need to have alternative targets in mind, especially with Ipswich seemingly reluctant to let Broadhead leave.
The Tractor Boys have even seen Jaden Philogene pick up an injury and Omari Hutchinson omitted from facing Auxerre over the weekend, as speculation swirls over his future.
The Mirror now claim that Wrexham are eyeing another attacker, with Liverpool’s Lewis Koumas on the radar.
It’s suggested that Wrexham are monitoring Koumas for a potential move to the STōK Cae Ras, which may be a loan rather than a permanent move.
A host of Championship clubs are also keen on Koumas, with Birmingham City, Hull City, Norwich City, Preston North End and Sheffield United keen.
Koumas is unlikely to secure first-team football at Liverpool this season, and could head back to the Championship after a spell with Stoke City.
The 19-year-old – the son of former Wales international Jason Koumas – possesses similar versatility to Broadhead in terms of playing across the front line.
Wrexham may see Koumas as an alternative if Broadhead can’t be secured, and may even be tempted to try and secure a permanent deal for the Liverpool youngster.
How Lewis Koumas fared at Stoke City
Koumas spent last season with Stoke and notched 26 Championship starts as well as 17 substitute appearances.
That came out to 2440 minutes of action, with Koumas recording three goals and two assists for the Potters.
Koumas played almost all of his games as a winger, switching from the right to the left flank at times during his loan spell.
The teenager also operated as an attacking midfielder and even as a striker, so you can see how Wrexham may be interested in him in case Broadhead can’t be secured.
The main difference is that Koumas is still learning his craft and was in and out of the Stoke side last season.
Broadhead offers an instant-impact threat in the final third, having previously hit 13 goals during Ipswich’s promotion-winning season in 2023-24.
Koumas could make a difference for Wrexham, but would certainly represent something of a step down from the proven quality of Broadhead.
