Wrexham could be about to sign another big money and big wages player following the arrival of Lewis O’Brien.
Last week, Wrexham broke their club record transfer with the signing of Lewis O’Brien from Nottingham Forest.
The Dragons played a club record £5million fee to sign the midfielder from Nottingham Forest and it’s understood that O’Brien is on hefty wages.
Before signing, it was reported that Wrexham and O’Brien were apart on wage demands, but Phil Parkinson’s side got the deal done in the end, with numerous reports that the club are spending big on player wages this summer.
Earlier in the summer transfer window, it was reported that Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac will pay up to £30,000-per-week in wages, and one player who could max out that salary is Kieffer Moore.

Kieffer Moore to Wrexham transfer latest
Speaking to Wrexham Insider, transfer expert Graeme Bailey has confirmed Wrexham’s pursuit of Moore from Sheffield United. He adds that Wrexham are making a big push to sign the 32-year-old Welsh international, and that they’re trying to drive down the rumoured price tag.
Bailey explained to Wrexham Insider: “Wrexham are making a big push. They are pushing back on some of the numbers mentioned but they do want him.

“Moore is going to be expensive, let’s get that right, but again I don’t think he is that Hollywood signing they are always linked with – he is just a very, very good Championship player – who most importantly fits Parkinson’s style like a glove. The fact he is a Welsh international is just a cherry on top of the cake!”

What Ruben Selles has said about Kieffer Moore to Wrexham this summer
Moore is out of contract at Bramall Lane in 2027. He’s fallen down the pecking order with the Blades after a rather disappointing 2024/25 season in which he scored just six goals in 30 Championship games as Sheffield United lost the play-off final to Sunderland.
Speaking recently, Sheffield United manager Ruben Seles gave his verdict on Moore’s future amid his links with a move to North Wales.
Selles explained: “There is nothing from my side on that comment; he was still here and doing his job and working hard for the team. He’s part of us, and if the future something happens, let’s see.”
For Wrexham, it looks like Moore is the man they want to add to their striking department, which has already seen the likes of Josh Windass and Ryan Hardie arrive this summer.
Whether another striker is needed, and at several million pounds, remains to be seen, but fans will have trust in Parkinson who hasn’t got it wrong yet.
