Wrexham are having to come to terms with facing serious competition for signings this summer.
Wrexham signed Ryan Hardie in their first acquisition of the transfer window but Phil Parkinson will now seek further additions as he begins to trim his squad.
Paul Mullin had a message for Parkinson as he departed for Wigan Athletic on loan and with Ollie Palmer and Will Boyle also nearing exits, the Red Dragons are opening up room for further signings.
Wrexham are interested in Ryan Teague as central midfield remains a priority position for the club, whilst Tom Lawrence is also being monitored. However, Wrexham now face serious competition for one of their defender targets.

Wrexham face competition from Rangers in Owen Beck pursuit
Wrexham are interested in Owen Beck from Liverpool after a successful loan spell last season with Championship rivals Blackburn Rovers.
Premier League clubs are monitoring Beck but now European giants Rangers have also entered the race and they want him on a permanent deal.
It is understood that Wrexham are interested in a loan move for the left back however, Rangers could be about to trump the Red Dragons with their offer.
As per Liverpool journalist Dave OCKOP on X, nothing has been decided yet and negotiations are ongoing over the 22-year-old.
Owen Beck has impressed in Scotland during his career
Beck has spent some time in Scotland earlier in his career with Premiership side Dundee and caught the eye of the both Old Firm clubs.
Parkinson is keen to add strength in depth to his squad and Beck is described as ‘direct and aggressive’ by Liverpool expert James Brooke.
| Owen Beck’s Dundee record | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
| Beck | 28 | 2 | 4 |
Beck could follow in the footsteps of Ian Rush by completing a move to North Wales but may also relish the prospect of European football.
It also remains to be seen on whether Liverpool are willing to part with the defender on a permanent basis. Either way, should Wrexham complete a deal he would provide excellent competition for James McClean.
