Wrexham fans were given a glimpse of Ben Sheaf as the midfielder came off the bench for his debut against Queens Park Rangers.
Saturday failed to provide Wrexham fans with much to shout about as Phil Parkinson‘s side suffered defeat.
Wrexham were beaten 3-1 by Queens Park Rangers to make it three defeats in five Championship games to start the season.
Kieffer Moore gave Wrexham hope by heading home to make it 2-1, but QPR found space behind the Wrexham defence to bag a third goal and seal all three points.

Ben Sheaf sends message to Wrexham fans
Parkinson is confident that Wrexham will pick up results soon, highlighting that he is still bedding a number of new signings into his squad.
That is true, but Wrexham have at least discussed Parkinson’s future after a tricky start to the season.
New signings should help Wrexham’s cause, and fans were able to see Ben Sheaf in action for the first time on Saturday.
Sheaf joined Wrexham from Coventry City on transfer deadline day, completing a £6.5million move in the final hours of the window.
A proven Championship performer with Coventry, Sheaf now joins the Wrexham project in an attempt to reach the Premier League.
Sheaf played around half an hour against QPR, and he has now sent a message to fans on his Instagram story after his debut on Saturday.
‘Despite the result, good to get out there,’ said Sheaf, who needed the first-team action.
Sheaf played just seven minutes for Coventry City on the opening day of the Championship season, and then didn’t play again before joining Wrexham.
The 27-year-old may feel a little rusty, but he relished the chance to get on the pitch and make his first Wrexham appearance.

Ben Sheaf will be in the Wrexham starting XI very soon
Matty James has started the season at the base of Wrexham’s midfield, having played a key role last season.
Parkinson is a big fan of James, and his experience at Championship level will come in very handy over the course of the season.
The manner of QPR’s second goal will concern Parkinson, though, as the R’s cut through the middle of the pitch to score.
Sheaf’s stunted start to the season at Coventry means his fitness must be built up gradually at Wrexham.
Sheaf will surely take that midfield spot from James soon enough, though, with Wrexham clearly having big plans for the midfielder, having paid £6.5million to sign him – even with just a year left on his contract.
Wrexham saw flashes of Sheaf’s quality on Saturday, and there should be much more to come from a midfielder who became one of the Championship’s very best in recent years.
