Wrexham were without summer signing Liberato Cacace as he missed Saturday’s 3-1 defeat to Queens Park Rangers.
Wrexham suffered defeat to Queens Park Rangers on Saturday afternoon as Phil Parkinson fell to a loss after the international break.
Conor Coady’s own goal and a powerful strike from Richard Kone had QPR 2-0 up before Kieffer Moore’s header gave Wrexham hope.
Rumarn Burrell hit Wrexham on the break, outpacing Coady to score QPR’s third and secure the victory for the visitors.

Phil Parkinson on Liberato Cacace injury
Parkinson hoped to build momentum after Wrexham beat Millwall 2-0 in the final game before the international break.
Instead, Wrexham served up a disappointing display and are still waiting for a first home league win of the new season.
Parkinson was forced into changes from the Millwall victory, with injured goalkeeper Danny Ward missing out.
Liberato Cacace also missed the game through injury, meaning captain James McClean came in at left wing-back.
Parkinson explained Cacace’s absence while speaking to Wrexham Match Day Live, admitting that the summer signing picked up a ‘slight injury’ in training.
Parkinson admitted that Cacace’s latest knock is ‘very frustrating’, not just for the player but for Wrexham as a whole.
“Libby, unfortunately, got a slight injury when he came back in the building this week. Very frustrating for him and for us,” said Parkinson.
Liberato Cacace’s injury frustration mounting
Wrexham signed Cacace from Empoli in July, with the New Zealand international arriving in an exciting summer switch.
Cacace picked up a hamstring injury in August and missed games against West Bromwich Albion and Sheffield Wednesday.
After returning for the win over Millwall, Cacace pulled out of the New Zealand squad in the international break, with the idea of resting his hamstring.
However, Cacace now appears to have picked up another problem and has now missed another game, meaning he has missed three of Wrexham’s five Championship outings.
Parkinson will be keen to avoid this becoming a season-long issue, and will hope to call on Cacace again very soon.
