Wrexham returned to winning ways on Saturday afternoon with a 1-0 victory over Peterborough United.
Phil Parkinson watched his side slump to a 2-1 defeat against Barnsley on New Year’s Day, with their defending unusually poor.
Wrexham were much more solid at the back on Saturday, however, despite Ryan Barnett missing out against Peterborough United.
Problems at the other end of the pitch remain though, with Wrexham fans hitting out at Ollie Palmer for his showing on the day.
Palmer’s now scored just three in 25 League One matches – a record, along with Paul Mullin’s, that’s really not helping them in their fight for promotion.
Steven Fletcher, on the other hand, has been nothing short of sensational over the last month.

What Wrexham fans spotted after Steven Fletcher goal vs Peterborough United
The Scotsman was out toward the back end of 2024 with a knee injury but returned in December.
Fletcher scored a crucial goal off the bench against Cambridge United to earn Wrexham a draw before netting two more important goals in wins over Blackpool and Wigan Athletic at the back end of last month.
He couldn’t save them against Barnsley on Wednesday but he once again found the back of the net late on this weekend, seeing Wrexham beat Peterborough 1-0.
After scoring, Fletcher ran over to the corner and celebrated, taking his shirt off in the process.
A couple of eagle-eyed Wrexham fans then spotted that the Shrewsbury-born star has a rather hilarious tattoo.

He may now be 37 years of age but Fletcher is quickly cementing himself as Parkinson’s most important player.
Despite hardly starting a game in 2024/25, the former Sunderland man is now the club’s joint-top scoring centre-forward in the league this term with five.

Whether or not he is fit enough to begin starting matches on a regular basis is not clear, but he must surely be given a chance from the off against Port Vale in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday.
