Wrexham team and injury news vs Melbourne Victory
Thankfully, as it’s still pre-season, Wrexham do not have too many fitness concerns to worry about right now.
Andy Cannon suffered a long-term injury during the 2024/25 campaign, seeing him miss the promotion run-in.
As well as Cannon, Parkinson has confirmed Modou Faal picked up an issue, providing an update on both players late last month.
He said: “Mo has still got a problem with his thigh, which will take a while, and Andy is out as well, but everybody else should be fit and raring to go.”
Apart from said duo, there are no more confirmed injury problems for Wrexham ahead of kick-off.

Wrexham predicted XI vs Melbourne Victory
Wrexham signed Ryan Hardie from Plymouth Argyle at the beginning of their summer transfer window.
He was followed through the door by a former player, with Danny Ward re-signing for the club on a free transfer.
Both players could make their first starts for the Red Dragons on Friday, with Parkinson no doubt keen to assess their current fitness levels and match sharpness.
Elsewhere, several young players have made the trip across the world, and now is the perfect time for the Wrexham boss to take a close look at them in action before making any transfer decisions ahead of 2025/26.
Harry Ashfield seems the most likely option to start, though it’s likely we’ll see the other young prospects given a run-out at some point.
Here’s how we think Wrexham could line up against Melbourne.

Ollie Palmer and more fringe players will likely get a chance off the bench as well.
