Wrexham have made the trip to Australia for their 2025 pre-season tour and their travelling squad has been confirmed.
Wrexham’s opening Championship game vs Southampton is now just one month away and training for the new campaign has begun.
Unlike previous seasons when the Red Dragons have jetted off to North America, their upcoming fixtures will take place in Australia and New Zealand.
Their first clash of the summer is set to kick off on Friday against Melbourne Victory before two more ties in the coming days.
| Fixture | Date | Time (BST) | Time (Local) | Stadium | Location |
| Melbourne Victory | 11 July | 10:30am | 7:30pm | Marvel Stadium | Melbourne |
| Sydney FC | 15 July | 10:30am | 7:30pm | Allianz Stadium | Sydney |
| Wellington Phoenix | 19 July | 6:00am | 5:00pm | Sky Stadium | Wellington |
Ahead of their first game, Wrexham’s 2025 pre-season squad has now been confirmed and fans have a lot of questions, which we have now answered.

Who is Max Purvis
One fan asked: “Who’s Max Purvis?”
Born in Liverpool, Max Purvis has been impressing at youth level for the Welsh side for two seasons now.
He featured 20 times across 2023/24, scoring two goals, and was similarly solid in the most recent campaign, scoring seven in 53 outings for the club.
Purvis was offered a Wrexham contract in May, along with several more prospects, when the club confirmed their retained list.
Does Jake Bickerstaff still play for Wrexham
“No Bickerstaff?” Another supporter questioned.
Jake Bickerstaff left Wrexham for Liverpool as a youngster before rejoining on a free transfer in 2017.
He’s struggled to break into the first team, playing 24 matches and scoring three goals.
Bickerstaff was pictured training with Oldham Athletic recently, explaining why he has not not travelled to Australia.

Has Ollie Palmer left Wrexham
Another fan asked in response to the squad announcement: “Palmer? I thought he left.”
Ollie Palmer lost his place in Wrexham’s squad at the end of January following the arrivals of Sam Smith and Jay Rodriguez.
A loan move for Palmer was touted by Parkinson in the 2025 winter transfer window but the striker decided to stay.
Currently, the number nine isn’t being linked with any clubs this summer, and he’s under contract until 2026.
Andy Cannon and Modou Faal injury updates
There were questions about Andy Cannon and Modou Faal making the trip amid injury problems.
Parkinson provided injury updates on Cannon and Faal at the end of last month but didn’t reveal an exact timeline for their returns to action.
He said: “Mo has still got a problem with his thigh, which will take a while, and Andy is out as well, but everybody else should be fit and raring to go.”
It remains to be seen if the pair are fit enough to play matches or have just been taken along to help build fitness.
