As Wrexham close in on the teams above them, Phil Parkinson’s team selection for the upcoming game is huge. Here’s our Wrexham predicted XI to face Leyton Orient.
Last time out, Wrexham cruised to a comfortable 2-0 win against Northampton Town thanks to goals from Sam Smith and Ollie Rathbone.
Phil Parkinson described it as a ‘professional’ win for Wrexham, and he’ll be hoping for more of the same on Tuesday night against a strong Leyton Orient side.
So, as we prepare to watch Wrexham take on Leyton Orient, we’ve tried our best to read Parkinson’s mind and consider what his starting lineup for the game may look like.

Wrexham team and injury news ahead of Leyton Orient clash
The main player potentially missing for Wrexham on Tuesday night is Elliot Lee, who was in a car crash last week. The playmaker was not involved at the weekend, and though he is not thought to be seriously injured, he will likely not be risked against Leyton Orient.
Meanwhile, Paul Mullin is back in training and looking ‘sharp’ according to Parkinson. He wasn’t included at the weekend, but could be back in contention for the midweek game.
Aside from those two, Wrexham will just be without the trio of Callum Burton, Luke Bolton, and Will Boyle, who have missed much of the season already.

Paul Mullin to be handed huge chance vs Leyton Orient
They say if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, and Phil Parkinson will surely follow that mantra on Tuesday night. His Wrexham team secured a good three points with a strong performance against Northampton, and there’s no reason to do anything drastic to change that.
Mark Howard stepped in between the sticks and helped Wrexham keep a clean sheet, and should retain his place instead of Arthur Okonkwo.
In front of him, the trio of Max Cleworth, Eoghan O’Connell, and Lewis Brunt worked brilliantly in defence, and again, there’s no need to shake that up as it’s probably Wrexham’s strongest backline.

The midfield had a great balance, with George Dobson doing the dirty work that allowed Matty James and particularly Ollie Rathbone to shine on Saturday. That trio should remain, with Ryan Barnett and James McClean in the wing-back roles.
It is up top where Parkinson might consider a change, with Jay Rodriguez not having much of an impact at the weekend. Sam Smith was ‘excellent’, though, and will keep his place, with Paul Mullin potentially coming in to partner him.
It would be a big opportunity for Mullin, who does appear to be slipping into the peripheries at Wrexham, and needs to do something to prove his worth once more.
