The Red Dragons are flying right now, and they will be looking to make it five games unbeaten when they face Reading this week. Here’s our Wrexham predicted XI for that clash.
Wrexham picked up another crucial three points at the weekend in a narrow 1-0 win over Rotherham United. The victory takes Phil Parkinson’s men level on points with second-placed Wycombe, with the two sides facing off next weekend.
A birthday goal for Sam Smith made the difference against Rotherham, and the Red Dragons had to dig deep to secure the win.
Next up is a trip to Reading, and Wrexham will be eager to keep up their momentum and pile more pressure on Wycombe. So, here’s all the latest team news, and our Wrexham predicted XI for the upcoming fixture.

Wrexham team and injury news ahead of Reading clash
The main absentee for Wrexham right now is Andy Cannon, who will miss the rest of the season with an ACL injury.
Meanwhile, fellow midfielder George Dobson has a slight knock. He missed the win over Rotherham, and it remains to be seen whether he will be back for Tuesday.
Ollie Rathbone was taken off after 70 minutes this weekend, but Parkinson confirmed the star man had a spot of cramp, and he should be fine for the midweek game.
The trio of Callum Burton, Will Boyle, and Luke Bolton remain out for the foreseeable future.

Phil Parkinson will go unchanged with Wrexham XI vs Reading
Parkinson has kept the same lineup for the last three matches, aside from having to replace Dobson in the middle due to injury. Truth be told, we can see the Wrexham manager sticking to his guns again this week.
The defensive line of Arthur Okonkwo in goal, and Max Cleworth, Eoghan O’Connell, and Tom O’Connor in front of him does not need to be changed at all. They’ve kept three successive clean sheets in the league, and Parkinson would be foolish to mess with that.
In midfield, the trio of Ollie Rathbone, Matty James, and Elliot Lee provides good balance, and is likely to remain in tact. However, we wouldn’t be too surprised to see George Evans step in, perhaps for James, if Parkinson wants fresh legs there.
Meanwhile, wing-backs Ryan Longman and Sebastian Revan have been impressive of late. Revan has been ‘dangerous’ lately and both players may well keep their spots this week.

But, this could be a tactical decision from Parkinson, who will more than likely want to bring in the more experienced duo of Ryan Barnett and fan-favourite James McClean for the big game against Wycombe Wanderers at the weekend.
Keeping the pair well-rested in midweek could be key to their impact in the promotion six-pointer.
Up top, the partnership of Sam Smith and Jay Rodriguez finally started to show real promise at the weekend. Parkinson will probably want to keep that relationship going, with both likely to start against Reading and against Wycombe, too.
