The transfer window is officially closed in the UK and Wrexham have made massive changes this summer.

After winning promotion from League One, it was clear, like after every promotion-winning campaign, that big changes would be made.

Wrexham let 20 players leave the club over the course of the last few months.

As for incomings, Phil Parkinson made three new signings on deadline day, taking their overall total to 13.

The departures of several fringe players and the arrival of high-quality Championship and Premier League-level stars has now seen Wrexham’s squad value increase a great deal.

Wrexham squad value vs every Championship team

Wrexham made Nathan Broadhead their record signing, paying Ipswich Town an initial £7.5m, which could rise to £10m.

Ben Sheaf has signed for £6.5m this week as well, while the likes of Callum Doyle and Lewis O’Brien also arrived for decent fees.

Before add-ons, the Red Dragons paid out around £32m-£33m for new players this summer.

In turn, it is little surprise to see that Wrexham’s squad value has increased this summer.

After the close of the window, Parkinson is now in charge of the 12th most valuable squad in the Championship.

It is worth around £51.1m, which is still less than half of the recently relegated sides, who boast values well in excess of £100m.

The total value of every Championship team is around £1.53 billion.

Wrexham Championship league position predicted

Several of their summer signings have been at the club for a very short period, and it will take time for this new-look side to gel.

After a slow start, Wrexham finally picked up their first Championship win last weekend, fending off Millwall at The Den.

It has seen the Dragons climb up the table into 15th place, just below Watford and Southampton.
