Ollie Palmer left Wrexham this summer and has had a good start to life at his new club.

Wrexham drew 1-1 with Derby County over the weekend, meaning they are yet to win a league game at the Racecourse Ground this season.

Elsewhere, a number of loanees and former players took to the field, including Ollie Palmer.

Wrexham terminated Palmer’s contract over the summer after he fell out of favour under Phil Parkinson.

The striker has now signed for Swindon Town in League Two and impressed during his latest appearance.

Ollie Palmer outperforms every Wrexham player

Palmer scored for Swindon versus Bromley in the latest gameweek as Ian Holloway’s side secured a 2-0 win.

The striker has now netted more goals in 2025/26 than he managed across the entirety of last season at Wrexham.

Swindon fans praised Palmer for his efforts, and the attacker has now been recognised for his display on Saturday.

Despite not winning, there were a few Wrexham players who shone in the Derby draw, including Issa Kabore, who earned praise.

However, none of Parkinson’s men did enough to earn a place in the EFL Team of the Week.

Palmer, on the other hand, was named as one of two strikers in the side:

Kabore was the highest-rated Wrexham player in their meeting with Derby, according to WhoScored.

The wing-back earned a 7.6 rating after bagging his third assist in just two matches.

Fellow defender Ryan Longman took home second place with a 7.4 rating.

Elsewhere, despite scoring their only goal of the match, Lewis O’Brien was joint third (7.1) along with Ben Sheaf.
