Wrexham and Sheffield Wednesday fans united over the weekend amid the latter’s ownership struggles.
The Dragons’ latest Championship fixture saw them clash with the Owls at the Racecourse Ground on August 23.
Ahead of the tie, Wrexham came under fire from fans and their previous owners after it was revealed they were not going to allow banners to be displayed by Wednesday fans as they were considered to carry ‘political connotations’.
After much pressure, Wrexham released a statement on the issue, confirming that Wednesday fans could hang a banner in the away end.
This was followed by Rob Mac detailing a gesture to Sheffield Wednesday Supporters Trust, saying that any profit made on the Dragons’ gold shirts from last season would be donated to the SWST.

Wrexham donation to Sheffield Wednesday Supporters Trust ‘false’ claim
The game played out at 3pm on Saturday and after going 2-0 up, Wrexham drew 2-2 with Sheffield Wednesday.
On the back of the fixture, it was reported that Wrexham sold 1,500 shirts.
Amid the tops being sold for £25 each, it was suggested that the SWST was receiving a £37,500 donation.
However, the Wednesday ’Til I Die Podcast is now saying this is ‘false’ and that the Supporters Trust will ‘announce an accurate figure in due course’
They wrote: “Having spoken to @SWFCTrust we can confirm that this claim is FALSE! The trust will be looking to announce an accurate figure in due course.”

It was a much more positive day for the Yorkshire club, however.
They got their first point of the season in a game Henrik Pedersen has suggested they could have won.
The Sheffield Wednesday manager commented on Wrexham post-match, saying they did one thing ‘very well’.
He stated: “It was a tough game, and I’m really proud. I think we had a good beginning until the first goal, and then we came back, but then struggled again. They pressed us very well.
“At the break we changed formation and spoke about the belief to go out and play with a back four, and the discipline and courage to play that second half. We thought there was something still in it, and it was a great performance from the boys… If we take the first half, we also had chances.
“It was still an equal first half even if they had more possession, but in the second we had maybe 60%, many more shots and chances. I think it was more than a deserved 2-2, I think if there was going to be a winner today then it must be us.”
