Wigan fans react to Paul Mullin signing

Wrexham fans are heartbroken over Mullin but it is the complete contrast in emotions for his new club’s fans.

Wigan fans are convinced that Mullin will be a success next season with fans taking to X to voice their opinions.

One fan wrote: “Solid solid signing this. Knows the league, knows where the net is. Good strong signing. Be a much different year next year.”

Another fan wrote: “Game changer this signing will challenge automatic now.”

One Wigan fan believes Mullin will fill a void that the Latics have had for a long time, they wrote: “Superb signing. Just the type of striker we’ve been crying out for the past 18 months.”

Ryan Lowe ‘delighted’ to finally land Paul Mullin

Wigan manager Ryan Lowe has wanted Mullin for years after trying to land the prolific forward during his time at Plymouth Argyle back in 2021.

Lowe is ‘delighted’ at signing Mullin and can now provide the Wrexham loanee with the opportunity to play regular first-team football and get back to his best.

As for Wrexham, it is clear that the club will be keeping an eye on how Mullin fares in League One and the door isn’t completely shut on a return to the Red Dragons.

If he can stay fit and return to his clinical goalscoring form, a sensational return is not off the table for the club legend.
