Speaking at a pre-match press conference ahead of Wales v Croatia in the Euro 2020 qualifying campaign, football icon Bale was full of praise for his international colleague Davies.
The pair spent many years together playing for the national side and at Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur.
Bale stated: “Ben [Davies] has been fantastic since he’s come in, he’s been a consistent performer and he just keeps improving every year and we’re lucky to have him in the squad with us.”
Davies has a wealth of experience for Wales having already chalked up 93 caps for his country, scoring three goals in the process and representing them at a European Championship and World Cup.

The Championship is an unforgiving league and although Wrexham are used to playing three times a week consistently, they will not be accustomed to the quality of opposition they are about to face.
Bale’s verdict on Davies shows the defender is a consistent performer and Parkinson will be looking for players he can rely upon this season.
Ryan Longman praised Wrexham’s experience during the previous campaign and the likes of James McClean and Matty James will be vital once again in ensuring the Red Dragons pick up points on a regular basis.
There will be highs and lows for Wrexham in the upcoming campaign but it will be how consistent they can perform to their best that will determine their success.
