Wrexham fans are waking up to new transfer links every day.

Wrexham are interested in Myles Peart-Harris after the Brentford star completed a successful season on loan in the Championship with Swansea.

Thomas Frank’s verdict on Peart-Harris will excite Phil Parkinson as his physical attributes and versatility are exactly what the manager is looking to add to his Wrexham squad.

Wrexham are also monitoring Aaron Cresswell although the West Ham defender would ideally like to stay in the Premier League.

Another defender from the top flight has been linked with a move to the Racecourse Ground and whilst fans are delighted with the interest, they hold one major concern over any potential move.

Reports have emerged that Tottenham Hotspur defender Ben Davies is among a number of targets being considered by the club.

Wrexham fans have taken to X to react to the news and whilst they see Davies as an excellent signing, they have a major concern that it won’t be North Wales that the Spurs man chooses.

One fan wrote: “We can offer more cash than Swansea, but I’m pretty sure he will go back there. Fits the Parky type player and would love him here. Negatives would be that we need to address the lack of pace at the back. I’d imagine he would play on the left of a 3, and Brunt is our fastest CB.”

Another Wrexham fan wrote: “If he’s dropping down to the championship I’d feel like it would be to Swansea.”

One Red Dragons fan believes that Davies would be the ‘perfect’ signing for Parkinson, they wrote: “It would be perfect. Captain, leader, the first male Welsh speaker in the team for a long time.”

Where would Ben Davies fit in the Wrexham side?

Parkinson is targeting Premier League quality and Davies certainly fits that bill with a wealth of experience during his spells for Swansea and most recently Tottenham Hotspur.

The intrigue of a potential Davies arrival would centre around where he would fit into the side, he could provide competition for James McClean at left wing-back.

However, a more likely position for the Welsh international would be on the left side of the back three, potentially replacing Lewis Brunt or moving the young defender into the centre.

The versatility of Davies would certainly be an attraction for Parkinson and after Ryan Longman’s comments on Wrexham’s old guard, further experience and stature in the squad would only be a positive.
