Wrexham hero Ollie Palmer is poised to leave the club with a medical booked with League Two Swindon Town.
After a summer of uncertainty, Ollie Palmer finally looks set to leave the Racecourse. The 33-year-old has certainly etched his name into modern Wrexham folklore with 44 goals and 150 appearances for the club.
Palmer is one of the few who have won promotion all the way from the National League to the Championship with Wrexham.
But in the second half of last season he fell well out of favour and this summer it always looked likely that he would move on.

Needless to say, the messages for Palmer poured onto social media. “Club legend. Thanks Ollie!” wrote one Wrexham supporter, as another added: “Hopefully he goes there and smashes it. Absolutely brilliant signing for you lot, love Palmer.”
Another fan posted: “Be sad to see Ollie go but think it’s best for all parties,” and a similar comment read: “Absolutely brilliant signing for you lot, love Palmer.”
“Sad to see him go but I’m glad he’ll be getting the playing time he deserves! He’ll forever be a Wrexham legend,” posted another supporter.
One last comment read: “Mr Palmer, thank you for your service to our club. You were a hero and a great player for us. I hope you find similar success with your new club.”
