Wrexham made big changes to their squad this summer, including three late summer additions.

In total, Wrexham signed 13 players in the 2025 summer transfer window for a cost of around £33m before add-ons.

Most of their business was done early in the window, but the Dragons still had a productive deadline day.

Ben Sheaf joined from Coventry City in a deal worth somewhere in the region of £6.5m.

Issa Kabore arrived on a season-long loan deal from Manchester City later in the day.

Kabore’s signing was then swiftly followed by Dom Hyam’s permanent move from Blackburn Rovers being confirmed.

Sheaf featured against Queens Park Rangers later in the week, but the other two deadline day arrivals have not featured yet.

Issa Kabore training ahead of Norwich City vs Wrexham

Hyam will likely come into the team in place of Max Cleworth or Conor Coady when he does debut.

As for Kabore, he is a much-needed addition given Wrexham’s wing-backs have struggled in the Championship thus far.

He was left on the bench during the 3-1 loss to QPR, but he could, after a week of training with the club, now be in line for his debut when Wrexham face Norwich City.

The club have been sharing training photos on social media in the build-up to the fixture, one of which was dedicated to Kabore.

The Manchester City loanee responded to the post on his personal Instagram story by quoting the photo with a love-heart emoji.

Who will start instead of Liberato Cacace

While Kabore could be Wrexham’s new starting right-wing-back in 2025/26, they have issues on the other side of their backline.

Liberato Cacace is injured for the second time this season and will miss the Norwich game.

Cacace has excelled in his two starts for the club, featuring in the Millwall win and 2-1 defeat to Southampton.

They were arguably the Dragons’ best league displays of the season so far, but without the New Zealand international, Wrexham’s left-hand side has looked weaker.

James McClean or Ryan Longman will likely be given the nod in Cacace’s absence.
