Shaun Harvey has been full of praise for a player whose Wrexham contract was terminated.
Wrexham have not been shy about making big changes to their squad following promotion to the Championship.
After moving on Paul Mullin and Ollie Palmer, there has been a suggestion that Elliot Lee won’t play for Wrexham this season despite his previously crucial contributions.
Lee remained at the Racecourse Ground over the summer despite reports he was free to leave, but in total, 20 players left Wrexham over the last several months.
One of those many names has now come in for high praise from club chief Shaun Harvey.

Shaun Harvey praises former Wrexham player
Harvey featured on the Fearless In Devotion podcast this week, discussing a number of topics.
He has said that Phil Parkinson has Wrexham’s support amid speculation around his future.
Harvey also outlined the Red Dragons’ aims for the 2025/26 Championship season.
Meanwhile, he was asked to name the most skilful player who has now left Wrexham.
Harvey responded by heavily praising George Evans: “I think George Evans had so much to offer a team and in the right team, I think he will do, I think he’ll be the player we have all hoped and actually saw when he first came to the club.
“I don’t think I envisioned a Wrexham team being successful without George Evans actually being in it at the time that we signed him, which probably shows how far we’ve come, as much as anything else.”
Who does George Evans play for now
It was announced on September 1 that Evans had joined Burton Albion for free after having his Wrexham contract terminated.
He became the latest in a long line of former players to swap North Wales for Burton, with the likes of Anthony Forde and loanee Sebastian Revan lining out for them in 2025.
Evans, who joined Wrexham from Millwall in 2023, made his debut for the Brewers on September 13.
He played 73 minutes of a League One clash, which ended 1-0 to Lincoln City.
