Wrexham return to action this weekend as Phil Parkinson considers handing a debut to Issa Kabore against Queens Park Rangers.

The final few days of the international break are here, and Championship action just cannot come soon enough.

Wrexham beat Millwall 2-0 to go into this break on a real high, and will look to keep the positive feeling going against QPR this weekend.

Phil Parkinson could unleash new signings on the R’s after Wrexham secured three new arrivals on deadline day.

Issa Kabore joined Wrexham on loan from Manchester City and adds even more competition at right wing-back.

Issa Kabore set to face Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah

Whether Parkinson hands Kabore a debut against QPR remains to be seen, and much will depend on how he returns to North Wales.

Kabore is currently on international duty with Burkina Faso and flew out to join his teammates straight after signing for Wrexham.

Kabore featured in a 6-0 thrashing of Djibouti on Friday, and is now primed to start once again on Tuesday evening.

Burkina Faso take on Egypt in World Cup qualifying, with Kabore and co looking to close the gap to just two points in their World Cup qualifying group.

The game means that Kabore will be coming up against one of the very best players in the world, with Egypt able to call upon Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah.

Salah is one of the top players in the game and will be Egypt’s go-to man as they look for another victory after beating Ethiopia on Friday.

Salah will play down Egypt’s right flank, so he should be on the opposite flank to Kabore, but the Wrexham man still faces a testing evening.

Egypt’s left-winger is Manchester City star Omar Marmoush, who made a big impact after a £59million move from Eintracht Frankfurt in January (BBC Sport).

Kabore will have his hands full with Marmoush before even thinking about potential clashes with Salah over the course of the game.

Marmoush and Salah were the Egypt goalscorers against Ethiopia, and Kabore will need to help keep both players quiet if Burkina Faso are to stand a chance of a surprise victory.

Issa Kabore will expect important Wrexham role

Once Tuesday’s clash with Egypt is out of the way, Kabore will make his way back to North Wales and truly begin his Wrexham career.

Kabore may be a little tired after two games for Burkina Faso and another flight, but Parkinson may look to hand him a debut against QPR.

Ryan Barnett and Ryan Longman already offered strong competition, and Kabore now joins in the fight at right wing-back.

Ultimately, though, Kabore will surely have a key role at Wrexham in mind after joining from City.

Kabore has turned out for the likes of Marseille, Benfica and Werder Bremen, and even played in the Premier League with Luton Town.

The 24-year-old needs playing time after a frustrating campaign last season, and needs regular minutes at Wrexham in order to get his career back on track – and will be looking for a key role over the course of the Championship season.
