Phil Parkinson faces the daunting task of turning Wrexham into a competitive Championship team.
Five games into the season, Wrexham are struggling to compete in the second tier of English football.
The Red Dragons kicked off their first campaign in the Championship for over forty years with a defeat to Southampton.
They eventually won their first league match in late August against Millwall, but after the international break, they were hammered 3-1 by an average QPR side at the Racecourse Ground.

Phil Parkinson on Wrexham Championship results
Norwich are an experienced Championship team, and another tough test is expected for the Welsh club.
Wrexham spent £33m this summer to give Phil Parkinson and co. the best possible chance of success.
It’s been a pretty slow start, and the Wrexham manager has now bemoaned the Dragons’ consistently conceding goals, especially at home.
He said, as per the Leader: “It’s my job and Steve’s (Parkin) job and the rest of the coaching staff to formulate the group and get a group understanding of what we’ve done well at periods this season because we’ve had a lot of periods, even in the home games, where we’ve been really good.
“But it’s obvious we can’t give up the chances we have done, certainly at home. It’s as simple as that and we’ve got to find a solution to that.”

Wrexham discuss Phil Parkinson future
Parkinson is still of the opinion that Wrexham’s squad can improve after a slow start.
He said: “Is it personnel or is it tweaking the shape of the team? We’re looking at all that to come up with a formula we believe can give us a stronger base to go and win games of football.”
The Dragons now have four more league matches to play out before the October international break.

It’s imperative that results improve during this time, but if they don’t, it wouldn’t be surprising to see a change made.
Wrexham discussed Parkinson’s future before QPR, and the pressure is only likely to increase if they remain winless over the coming months.
