Wrexham fell to a 3-1 defeat against Queens Park Rangers this weekend, but Phil Parkinson was still impressed with one player.
Wrexham’s tricky start to the Championship season continued on Saturday afternoon.
QPR secured a 3-1 win over Wrexham at the STōK Cae Ras, exposing weak defending from Phil Parkinson’s side.
Momentum built from Wrexham’s 2-0 win over Millwall vanished as the R’s cut through Wrexham to claim a strong away victory.

Phil Parkinson praises Wrexham striker Kieffer Moore
This was a day to forget for Wrexham, and Parkinson must come up with answers ahead of facing Norwich City this weekend.
One man who can be pleased with his display against QPR is striker Kieffer Moore.
Moore joined Wrexham from Sheffield United over the summer, and he has made an immediate impact at the STōK Cae Ras.
The Welsh international headed home for Wrexham against QPR, making the scoreline 2-1 and giving hope to home fans.
Wrexham went on to lose regardless, but Moore’s goal took his tally to four goals in just five Championship games this season.
Moore is making an enormous impact at Wrexham, and he has now been praised by boss Parkinson for his display against QPR.
Speaking to BBC Sport, Parkinson admitted that Moore really didn’t deserve to be on the losing side on Saturday.
Parkinson feels that Moore couldn’t really do much more than he did against QPR, praising his all-round display while branding him a ‘really good player’.
“I don’t think Kieffer can do much more in a game of football for his team,” said Parkinson.
“He’s ran, he’s challenged, he’s scored a goal, he’s defended the box. He is what we know, a really good player, and his performance deserved to be on the winning team,” he added.
Kieffer Moore is dominating the Championship in one area
QPR boss Julien Stephan highlighted Moore’s aerial ability, and it was only fitting that his goal against the R’s was a header from a set piece.
The 6ft 5in target man has always been a menace in the air, and that is certainly the case in the early weeks of the Championship season.
Moore has won 36 aerial duels this season, which ranks second in the Championship, only behind Charlton Athletic defender Lloyd Jones on 38.
Derby County striker Carlton Morris is just one behind Moore on 35, but his success rate is very impressive.
Jones has won around 60% of his aerial duels, while Morris has won 51%.
Moore leads both players in terms of success rate, though, winning over 64% of his aerial duels this season.
Defenders just can’t handle Moore’s aerial ability, and as long as Wrexham keep finding him in the box, he should continue to score goals.
