Wrexham have been busy trying to add to their squad in this month’s transfer window as they look to chase down Birmingham City and Wycombe Wanderers for the automatic promotion spots.
Wrexham sit level on points with Wycombe in League One and can move to the top of the table with a win over local rivals Shrewsbury Town.
Phil Parkinson has been exploring all avenues of improving his squad, Wrexham are interested in Bolton forward Dion Charles and have been keeping tabs on midfielder Dylan Levitt from Hibernian.
The manager has also been ‘weighing up’ a recall for Sam Dalby from his loan at Dundee United and ahead of the game with Shrewsbury, Parkinson has given an update on a couple of players out on loan.

Phil Parkinson offers update on Wrexham loanees Jordan Davies and Sam Dalby
Speaking to The Leader, Wrexham manager Parkinson has given an update on the futures of Jordan Davies and Sam Dalby, who are both currently out on loan at Grimsby Town and Dundee United respectively.
Parkinson on Davies stated: “Jordan’s staying at Grimsby. The injury was a blow because he had a brilliant start, getting those two goals, The injury set him back but he’s been part of the team which has done well this season so far and it’s good for Jordan.”
Davies has made 15 appearances in all competitions for League Two outfit Grimsby scoring three times before picking up a hamstring injury that kept him sidelined for three months.

When giving an update on Dalby, Parkinson stated: “We are going to make a decision on Sam this week.”
Dalby is currently the top scorer in the Scottish Premiership with ten goals this season including the opener in a 1-1 with Rangers at Ibrox back in November.
Dalby future could depend on Wrexham signing a striker
With Paul Mullin struggling for form and Ollie Palmer having played more games than expected, Wrexham are desperate for more firepower up top this month to help with their promotion charge.
Parkinson tends to complete his January transfer business late, therefore is giving himself plenty of time before making a decision on Dalby.
Dalby has been praised by Scottish pundits for his performances so far this season and would certainly add output to a Wrexham attack that has relied on the goals being shared around the Wrexham squad so far this season.
However Parkinson shapes his squad this month, fans will be eager to see it have both quality and depth in all areas as the race for the Championship intensifies.
