Wrexham are preparing for another huge encounter in their bid to overtake Wycombe Wanderers in the final automatic promotion place.
Phil Parkinson has predicted a ‘physical’ game against a Rotherham United side that Wrexham beat 1-0 earlier in the season thanks to an early strike from Paul Mullin.
Ollie Rathbone is ready to face his former club and will hope to continue his outstanding form at the heart of Wrexham’s midfield alongside Matty James.
George Dobson limped off injured during the previous clash with Huddersfield and Parkinson has provided an injury update on the midfielder ahead of the game at the Racecourse Ground.

Phil Parkinson provides injury update on Wrexham’s George Dobson
Speaking to BBC Sport Wales, Parkinson has provided an update on the fitness of midfielder Dobson after he was replaced by Elliot Lee five minutes into the second half of the 1-0 win at Huddersfield.
Parkinson stated: “Dobbo’s gone over on his ankle on Tuesday, it didn’t look too serious but we’ll have a look at that closer to kick-off.”
Should Dobson be unable to make the game it would leave Parkinson with a selection dilemma at the heart of his midfield.
Lee would be the obvious candidate however Harry Ashfield could also be a midfield option in order to cope with Rotherham’s physicality and provide some creative energy going forward.
Parkinson also provides update on Wrexham’s Andy Cannon
Andy Cannon’s long term injury adds to Parkinson’s problems in central midfield after the 28-year-old midfielder ruptured his acl in the recent win over Mansfield Town.
Cannon had surgery on the injury and Parkinson has provided an update on the wellbeing of the midfielder, who had scored four goals in all competitions this season.
Parkinson explained: “Andy had his surgery in London on Wednesday. Apparently it went well, I haven’t spoken to him yet, I’ll speak to him today. He stayed in hospital for an extra night. It was just a bit of pain management but I’ll touch base with him and we’ll get him back up here next week.”

Whoever does come in to the midfield against Rotherham will have to provide both a high work ethic against a robust Rotherham side but also find that missing ingredient of providing quality service to the strikers.
