Wrexham know that three points against Burton will not be easy but would be a huge step towards League One promotion.

Wycombe’s 0-0 draw with Shrewsbury Town softened the blow of Wrexham’s dropped points against Cambridge where George Dobson was the star of the show for the Red Dragons.

Ryan Longman revealed his thoughts on promotion as Wrexham look to become the first team to achieve three successive promotions in the English Football League.

Jon Dadi Bodvarsson could haunt Wrexham as the Icelandic striker looks to improve his goal scoring form against his former club but the Red Dragons have already overcome Burton in difficult conditions this season.

Phil Parkinson sent message to ‘outstanding’ Wrexham fans after Burton victory

Phil Parkinson’s side defeated Burton 1-0 back in December 2024, thanks to an olympic goal from Elliot Lee.

Speaking to the club’s official YouTube channel after that game, Parkinson had a message for the Wrexham supporters who travelled to the game amid treacherous conditions.

Parkinson stated: “Outstanding, obviously we knew the conditions were even worse back in Wrexham and for the supporters to come down in their numbers was outstanding.”

The Red Dragons will need all the backing they can get in their quest for three points in the upcoming clash at the Racecourse Ground but Parkinson appreciates the efforts of his fanbase.

Parkinson explained: “The commitment and the loyalty and the passion they show for their club was exemplified more than ever today and I’m glad the lads replicated that.”

Wrexham fans want to see Paul Mullin

Wrexham fans want to see Paul Mullin after the striker has been exiled from the matchday squads in League One for the last 8 games.

Nathan Salt has advised Mullin to leave in the summer or risk seeing his football career ‘dwindle’ at the age of just 30.

The likes of Jack Marriott and Modou Faal have moved ahead of Mullin in the pecking order under Parkinson but fans still harbour hopes that they may see their club top scorer before the end of the campaign.

However, Parkinson believes there are better options in his squad at the moment and will not risk a player in a promotion run in for sentimental reasons.
