Wrexham have let a number of players go this summer, but some are still without a new club.

After 2024/25 came to a close, Wrexham confirmed eight players were leaving when their contracts expired at the end of June.

Sam Dalby has moved to Bolton Wanderers following his release this summer.

Mark Howard has joined Salford City, where he is acting as their second-choice goalkeeper.

Josh Adam has secured a transfer following his brief and limited appearances for Wrexham as well.

But with 2025/26 now in full swing, another player is still waiting to sign a fresh contract.

Released Wrexham player without club

Amid releases being announced, Jordan Davies confirmed his Wrexham exit in May, sending a message to Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac when doing so.

He stated: “My time at my hometown club has come to [an] end, safe to say we’ve been on a special journey not in my dreams when I joined back in Covid did I think I’d be leaving here 5 seasons later with it being a Championship club.

“With unbelievable achievements right along the way. I want to say thank you to all the players and staff that have helped me on the journey.

“It was a special group of lads [the] whole time.

“Special thank you @vancityreynolds and @robmcelhenney for changing the feel around the whole town, long may the Wrexham journey continue.”

Since becoming a free agent on July 1, the former Wrexham midfielder has been playing friendlies for the PFA squad.

Davies had scored four goals for the team, but even his recent displays have not been enough to earn him a transfer.

It comes after the PFA released their latest pre-season squad on Monday, with the ex-Dragon once again included.

The 27-year-old had a key role in Wrexham’s early success under Parkinson.

However, like so many others, he found minutes hard to come by the higher the Dragons climbed up the EFL.

Davies was loaned to Grimsby Town during the 2024/25 campaign, but injury issues hampered him.

In total, he played 139 matches for Wrexham in all competitions, scoring 31 and assisting one.
