Wrexham take on QPR this weekend, as Championship football resumes following the September international break.
Wrexham return to the Racecourse on Saturday afternoon where they take on QPR in the Championship.
Both teams go into this one level on four points, with Wrexham beating Millwall 2-0 in their last outing to get their first league win of the season.
Phil Parkinson’s side currently sit in 15th place of the Championship table compared to QPR in 18th. Though at this early stage of the season, a win can boost a team multiple places in the standings.
This summer, QPR lost previous manager Marti Cifuentes to Leicester City, replacing him with Julien Stephan.

QPR manager quizzed on impressive Wrexham scoring form
Speaking to the press ahead of the weekend, former Rennes boss Stephan was asked about Wrexham’s impressive scoring form so far this season: in four Championship games the Dragons have scored seven goals, with a staggering 16 goals in five games in all competitions so far this season.
But the Dragons have also conceded seven league goals this season, and 15 in all competitions. Asked if he expects an open game at the weekend though, QPR boss Stephan was somewhat stuck for an answer, saying: “I don’t know… I like the open match because I think Championship, it’s like this very often and that’s why I’m very excited to work in England, especially in the Championship.
“You have a lot of open moments, but you know the open moments is good when it’s for you.”

Phil Parkinson pleased with Wrexham’s scoring form
Wrexham have certainly been entertaining to watch this season, if nothing else. The likes of Kieffer Moore have hit the ground running with four goals in five games in all competitions, with Moore scoring for Wales during the international break as well.
Giving his verdict ahead of the weekend, Parkinson hailed Wrexham’s ability to score goals, saying: “The quality level just goes up the higher you are, and in this division you are up against a lot of Premier League standard players and teams who have been at the top level of football.
“But we have got to take heart as well because we have been in every game, we have created chances in all the games and we have looked like we can score, which is the hardest thing to do in football.”
It’s all well and good scoring goals, but if Wrexham can’t find a way to stop conceding them then they won’t propel up the Championship table as the owners might expect and hope them to this season.
Wrexham’s game against QPR kicks off at 3pm on Saturday.
