Why Sam Dalby joined Bolton after Wrexham
Sam Dalby was offered a new Wrexham contract midway through 2024/25 after impressing on loan at Dundee United, but turned down the deal.
The striker outperformed his goal tally from his entire stint in Wales during just one season in the Scottish Premier League.
As a result, he had plenty of interest this summer before Dalby opted to join Bolton Wanderers.
Now, the former Wrexham player has been speaking about why he secured a transfer to Bolton.
As per The Bolton News, he said: “A massive crowd and a wonderful stadium. It’s a big point of why I wanted to come here. It’s a massive club and I’m really thankful to be here.”
Dalby continued on his recent injury issues: “Obviously, it didn’t help with the injury right at the start of the season. It was very disappointing at the time.
“But I just kept my head down and kept working hard. Now I’m back, I just need to get fitter and sharper and get more minutes.”
