Wrexham are on the brink of a third-straight promotion under owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, who have become the envy of many fans in the English Football League.
Although Ryan Reynolds, Rob McElhenney and Wrexham can divide opinion within the English Football League’s fanbase, there’s no denying that what they’re doing at the Racecourse is exceptional.
And Phil Parkinson too: on Easter Monday he watched on as Wrexham beat Blackpool 2-1 to leapfrog Wycombe Wanderers in the League One table, reclaiming 2nd place ahead of another crunch match with Charlton Athletic on Saturday.
Back-to-back-to-back promotions is somehow on the cards for the Dragons. And it comes just in time for the new season of Welcome to Wrexham which will be released in mid-May, documenting yet another incredible season for the club.

How Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney feel about Wrexham’s 25/26 season
Appearing on BBC News on Tuesday, community director Humphrey Ker gave an interview about all that’s going on at Wrexham this season. Ker gave a Welcome to Wrexham teaser and also spoke about the owners, and how Reynolds and McElhenney truly feel about how this season is panning out.
McElhenney was in the stands against Blackpool and Ker says that he and co-owner Reynolds really do appreciate the amount of hard work that has gone on behind the scenes this season, playing down the suggestion that Wrexham’s success is solely down to the money invested into the club.
Ker explained: “What they’re [Reynolds and McElhenney] very aware of is how much had work has gone into this. I think from the outside people think, ‘Wrexham they’ve got money and they’ve got this and that and the other and that’s all you really need to be successful in football’. It helps. It certainly helps. But there are many many instances; you look at Manchester City when they first had their big influx of money, it took a bit of time for it to work. It’s not just as simple as spending a lot of money.”
Rob McElhenney’s rallying cry ahead of Wrexham vs Charlton Athletic
Wrexham can secure League One promotion on Saturday if they beat Charlton and if Wycombe Wanderers lose their earlier game away at Leyton Orient.
And taking to social media ahead of the weekend McElhenney gave a rallying cry ahead of Charlton Athletic, saying: “Incredible energy from our Wrexham family today in the away section. Bring it back home Saturday, we need you all! Nonstop cheering. This team, this town. You all mean everything.”
No doubt, he and possibly even Reynolds will be at the Racecourse on Saturday to watch their team vie for an incredible third-straight promotion, which would be another huge event in their journey so far.
Kick off is at 5:30pm and the game will be shown live on Sky Sports.
