Shaun Harvey has been full of praise for former Wrexham striker Ollie Palmer this week.

After Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac took over, Ollie Palmer became Wrexham’s new record signing when he joined from AFC Wimbledon in January 2022 for £300,000.

The 33-year-old had an instant connection with Paul Mullin, and together, the pair fired the Dragons out of the National League up to League One.

However, Phil Parkinson dropped Palmer in January of this year, and he did not make another league appearance in 2024/25.

His future was heavily in doubt over the summer before it was confirmed in late August that the striker had his Wrexham contract terminated so he could join Swindon Town.

“To be able to leave the club with that as his last memory. I thought that was, I just thought it was complete gold.”
