Paul Mullin should be out for revenge when Wrexham host Stockport County this coming Saturday.
As the season draws to a close, the Red Dragons are set for another massive meeting in League One this weekend.
Wrexham’s away form is superb in 2025 despite previously dropping a lot of points on the road this season.
However, the tabels have now turned and the Welsh outfit have been struggling at the Racecourse Ground somewhat this year.
Their unbeaten run, which began in March 2024, was ended by Stevenage before another loss to Leyton Orient and a 0-0 draw with Bolton Wanderers.
Now though, with Wycombe Wanderers winning their game in hand on Tuesday, it’s crucial Wrexham get one over on Stockport County this weekend, and Paull Mullin should be especially keen to do so.

Stockport County stopped Paul Mullin matching Newcastle United legend
Both Stockport and Wrexham won promotion from League Two in 2023/24, the former going up as champions.
With their fates already sealed, the two sides faced off for one final time in League Two on the final day of that campaign.
It was the Hollywood-owned club that came out on top, securing a 2-1 win thanks to a late goal from Andy Cannon.
Ollie Palmer was the other goalscorer on the day but had his strike partner found the back of the net in that clash, he would have watched a staggering record.
Ahead of the game, Mullin was looking to equal a record held by Newcastle United icon Alan Shearer.
Had he scored, the now 30-year-old would have become the first player since Shearer to score at least 25 goals in four consecutive seasons across the top five English leagues.
| Alan Shearer | Goals scored | Paul Mullin | Goals scored |
| 1993/94 | 31 | 2020/21 | 32 |
| 1994/95 | 34 | 2021/22 | 28 |
| 1995/96 | 31 | 2022/23 | 38 |
| 1996/97 | 25 | 2023/24 | 24 |
Phil Parkinson comments on Paul Mullin ahead of Wrexham vs Stockport
Sadly, Mullin’s goal-scoring exploits have dried up in the current season, sitting on just three League One goals.
This has seen the number nine fall heavily out of favour under Phil Parkinson, who has not given the forward a single minute during the club’s previous nine meetings.
As a result, speculation over a Parkinson and Mullin bust-up began to emerge in the last week or so.
However, those rumours were seemingly not true, and likely to the delight of fans, it appears one of their record goalscorers is still in contention to make a return this season.
Parkinson commented on Mullin ahead of Stockport, offering hope of a comeback.
He said: “The lads out of the team like Mulls and Ollie, who have both made significant contributions for us, they’re right with the group training hard every day and waiting for the moment because you never know when that moment is going to come, and you’ve got to be prepared for it as Lewis Brunt was at the weekend.”
