Charlton Athletic manager Nathan Jones clearly isn’t a huge fan of Wrexham going into their meeting this weekend.
Wrexham will be promoted to the Championship on Saturday if they can beat Charlton Athletic and results elsewhere go their way.
However, Charlton have been in top form of late, including smashing third-place Wycombe Wanderers 4-0 earlier this week.
It means that the Addicks could still technically secure automatic promotion, sitting four points off the Red Dragons going into the weekend.
With a lot of line for both teams ahead of kick-off at the Racecourse Ground, Nathan Jones took aim at Wrexham this week.
He said: “We’ll finish, we’ll debrief, we’ll breathe a little bit and then we’ll move forward with Wrexham. It’s a bumper game, we have to go to the circus and see what we can get.”

Nathan Jones said Wrexham’s Sebastian Revan was ‘disgraceful’
This is not the first time this season that Jones has had some interesting comments regarding the Welsh outfit.
Wrexham drew 2-2 with Charlton in the reverse fixture earlier this season on October 26th, 2024.
Andy Cannon and Tom O’Connor were the goalscorers that day, with Parkinson’s side only missing out on all three points thanks to a contoversial penalty awarded to the home outfit right at the end of the game.
Following that clash, the head of referees told Wrexham that Charlton shouldn’t have had a penalty.
But while the Welsh outfit were clearly hard done by via the official on the day, Jones slammed Sebastian Revan for one incident in the game that he thinks should have been a red card.
Revan went in late on Tyreece Campbell, and the Charlton boss did not mince his words when discussing the incident post-match.
He said: “The tackle on TC was a disgrace. We talk about rules – I’d rather get punched in the face than someone wipe me clean out. That’s a young boy, 20 years of age, running full pelt and someone can come from behind and boot him – that provides proper injuries.
“That is a red card, for me. That was a disgraceful challenge. That should be ruled out because it can break legs, break ankles and change people’s lives. I don’t like that.”

Last time Sebastian Revan played for Wrexham
While Jones seemingly isn’t a fan of Revan, it seems unlikely he will be coming up against the wing-back this weekend.
Revan struggled in a defeat to Reading on March 11, being taken off after 59 minutes of action.
The former Aston Villa man has since been left out of the matchday squad or on the bench in all of Wrexham’s following League One fixtures.
Ryan Longman and James McClean have gone on to share the left-wing-back spot, with Revan falling down the pecking order to third-choice in that position.
