Wrexham completed some great business during the summer transfer window, with one signing now coming in for high praise.
After winning promotion to League One for the first time in their history, Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds were quick to back Wrexham heavily in the transfer market.
Thanks to the Hollywood owners, Phil Parkinson was able to bring nine new players to the Racecourse Ground.
A couple of those names are yet to cement themselves in the starring line-up, with Dan Scarr frustrated at his lack of Wrexham playing time.
However, several summer additions have taken to their new surroundings like ducks to water.
Arthur Okonkwo has been backed to go to the ‘very top’ after he signed for the Red Dragons on a permanent basis.
Parkinson heaped praise on Sebastian Revan after he shone on his first league start for the club against Bolton Wanderers last month.
However, the standout transfer of the summer has clearly been the addition of George Dobson from Charlton Athletic.

Wrexham midfielder George Dobson likened to Bobby Moore
The 26-year-old has featured in all seven League One fixtures for Wrexham so far this season, providing two assists.
Dobson was impressive against Reading in the 3-0 win last month, leading the EFL in one key statistic after that game.
Then, Dobson was backed to win Wrexham Player of the Season by one journalist earlier this month.
The praise has not stopped there, however, with the Englishman now being likened to England and West Ham United legend, Bobby Moore.
Speaking on the Rob. Ryan. Red podcast, journalist Richard Sutcliffe was discussing Dobson’s emphatic Wrexham start.
Sutcliffe made a comparison to Moore and the World Cup winner’s ability to move the ball quickly and know exactly what to do with it.
He also stated his belief that Dobson is ‘such an upgrade’ on George Evans, adding that the ex-Charlton man has allowed Wrexham to play much faster football than they could in 2023/24.
He said: “I’ve been looking into his career [Bobby Moore] and he had Malcolm Allison he replaced in the West Ham team and there was one bit of advice that Alison had for Bobby Moore.
“He said ‘before you get the ball, know what you are going to do with it’ and George Dobson to me epitomises that because he gets the ball, he knows exactly where it’s going and whether he’s going to spread the play to the other flank, to left, to right or it’s going back to centre-half or he’s going to find Elliot Lee
“He knows, and that’s why he’s such an upgrade to me on Evans, who is such a good footballer but because of Dobson, Wrexham are playing at a faster pace than last year.”

Wrexham’s George Dobson is too good for League One
Prior to signing for Wrexham, Dobson spent three years plying his trade in the third tier with Charlton.
He has featured 272 times in League One but has already shown this season that he is a level about this league.
Dobson is under contract with the Welsh outfit until 2027 but if they fail to win promotion this season, the former Sunderland ace will no doubt receive transfer interest from teams in the higher divisions.
Parkinson’s men are top of League One right now but they are only above second-place Birmingham City via goal difference.
Should they fail to win promotion to the Championship in 2024/25, it may spell the end of Dobson’s brief tenure at the Racecourse as he is clearly too good for the division.
