An insight into Paul Mullin losing his place at Wrexham in 2024/25 has been provided this week.

The latest episode of Welcome to Wrexham aired in the UK on June 13, and there was a big focus on Ollie Palmer and Paul Mullin.

Phil Parkinson suggested Palmer be loaned out after making the decision to remove him from matchday squads in the second half of the season.

Meanwhile, Mullin spoke about his relationship with Parkinson and how he doesn’t believe the manager trusts him as much.

He said: “I don’t know, it’s been difficult, I don’t know what’s caused him to trust me less, but he clearly does. Obviously, he wants the best for the team.”

In the same episode, the Wrexham striker was told how he can regain his place in the team.

Humphrey Ker on Paul Mullin Wrexham future

Wigan Athletic are interested in Mullin ahead of a possible 2025 summer transfer.

However, it appears as though the 30-year-old would much prefer to stay in Wales.

Mullin wants to play in the Championship for Wrexham, but returning to the side may be easier said than done.

But in Season 4 Episode 6 of the documentary, club chief Humphrey Ker commented on the Englishman’s future and told him how he can get back into the squad.

He said: “I think there’s definitely a future for Paul at the football club. I think it’s a case of working hard, training hard, and working on the training pitch to dislodge one of the other strikers. I think for Ollie, age is a factor, that’s a taller task for him.”

Every Wrexham striker’s League One goal return in 2024/25

Mullin and Palmer both lost their places in the League One squad after January 28.

Sam Smith and Jay Rodriguez started the remaining league fixtures last term, with Steven Fletcher and Jack Marriott the primary options off the bench.

Fletcher has since left the club, while Modou Faal hardly featured in the third tier.

More attacking reinforcements are expected this summer, with Wrexham eyeing a Bournemouth youngster on a potential loan.
