Wrexham sent a number of players out on loan during the 2024/25 season, one of whom has now sent a goodbye message to his loan club.

The marquee exit from the Racecourse Ground this season saw Sam Dalby loaned out to Dundee United.

The striker has had a prolific season in Scotland, and Jim Goodwin wants to keep Dalby permanently.

Wrexham offered the forward a new contract before the 2025 winter transfer window, but he’s yet to accept it, meaning he could depart for free this summer.

Elsewhere, promising young defender Aaron James suffered relegation after he joined Warrington Town for the second half of the season.

There was also a temporary exit for Jordan Davies, who linked up with League Two outfit Grimsby Town.

Jordan Davies message to Grimsby Town following his loan

The midfielder made the move to Grimsby on August 8, 2024, spending the entire campaign in the fourth tier.

Davies had injury problems over the last year, but still had a solid campaign while away from Wrexham.

The 26-year-old was able to find the back of the net four times and provide one assist in 18 league matches.

He has now taken to social media on the back of his loan coming to an end to send a message to Grimsby.

Davies wrote on X/Twitter: “It was a pleasure to represent @officialgtfc this season, thank you to all the players and staff that helped me good luck for the future!”

When does Jordan Davies’ Wrexham contract end

Davies began his career with Wrexham’s academy and was a key part of the club’s rise out of the National League.

The Welshman has made 139 appearances for the Red Dragons, scoring 31 goals and assisting one.

His long-term future at the club remains up in the air, however, as Davies will be out of contract on June 30, 2025.

Several more Wrexham players are out of contract next month, with decisions needing to be made on the likes of Steven Fletcher and Eoghan O’Connell.
