Wrexham have an interest in Charlie Savage and the Reading midfielder has already said where he’ll be playing his football in 2025/26.

The Red Dragons have been linked with a plethora of names going into the summer, Charlie Savage being one.

Humphrey Ker ruled out three Wrexham transfers this week, with deals for Patrick Bamford, Tom Cairney, and Jamie Vardy all said to be off the cards.

Elsewhere, Tom Lawrence is an option for the Welsh side after he has been released by Rangers.

Meanwhile, Wrexham are interested in signing Savage from Reading this summer, but the player has already made his future plans clear.

Wrexham target Charlie Savage dropped big future hint

Savage has just had a prolific season with Reading, who narrowly missed out on a place in the League One play-offs despite ownership struggles and losing Sam Smith to Wrexham in January.

He scored five and assisted nine in the league, while netting seven and assisting 13 across all competitions.

Reading’s final-day fixture of the most recent campaign came against Barnsley and saw the Royals lose 4-2.

After that match, speaking to BBC Radio Berkshire, Savage was discussing his future and said that he will be at Reading next season.

He stated: “I’ve got two more years here, so you’ll be seeing me next season.”

How much is Charlie Savage worth

While that isn’t ideal for Wrexham, football is a complicated game, and a transfer shouldn’t be ruled out, especially if the Dragons offer a sizable fee like they did when they broke their transfer record for Smith.

Savage only turned 22 this month and clearly has a very bright future ahead of him, so it’s hard to see Reading letting him go on the cheap.

Right now, Transfermarkt values the Leicester-born player at €600,000 (around £506,000).

However, any potential suitor will surely have to pay a lot more than that, especially this summer when the player still has two years of his contract left to run.
