One player whom Phil Parkinson sanctioned a departure for has hit the ground running at his new club after he left Wrexham.
Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson made several changes to the personnel in his first-team squad this summer, which saw 14 new players join.
On the receiving end were many players departing from the Racecourse Ground, including a number of high-profile attackers.
Paul Mullin left Wrexham on loan to join Wigan Athletic, while Ollie Palmer joined Swindon Town.
Both Mullin and Palmer have gone back to their goalscoring ways at their respective clubs, and they have been joined by a fellow departed Wrexham man, who has already shone for his new club in League One.

Former Wrexham striker Jack Marriott shines for Reading
Wrexham decided to move Jack Marriott to Reading after he slid down the pecking order at the club.
With the arrivals of Kieffer Moore, Ryan Hardie, and Nathan Broadhead, to name a few, it was clear that Marriott’s game time would be significantly hampered, which led to his departure.
In Marriott’s first start for Reading, he has hit back at the assumption that Parkinson thought he was not a worthy part of his squad by bagging a goal and notching an assist away at Barnsley, although the Royals would go on to lose 3-2.
Following the game, his performance was branded as ‘quality’, per The Tile Hurst End, especially after his cool finish to level up the game in the 35th minute.

Jack Marriott’s departure left Ryan Reynolds gutted
After Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac took over at Wrexham, the Red Dragons’ owners have formed connections with all players, getting to know every individual at the club on a personal level.
It was no different between Ryan and Jack Marriott, and that was shown by how gutted the Wrexham owner was to see him move to Reading.
When Marriott’s move from the Racecourse Ground was confirmed, Reynolds wrote on social media: “Thank you, Jack Marriott, for giving your all to this club and town. Reading has a true gem of a man and player in their midst. A leader on and off the field. I’ll miss him at the Cae Ras.”
It seems that Ryan’s verdict on Marriott was spot-on, as, so far in his Reading career, he has already proven to be a ‘leader’, popping up with crucial goal contributions.
