The primary focus at Wrexham ahead of January is incomings but there could also be several exits.
The Red Dragons have a stacked squad right now, which has seen some player’s game time very limited in the first half of 2024/25.
Dan Scarr is frustrated at his lack of Wrexham minutes since joining the club from Plymouth Argyle in the summer.
Aaron James could be loaned out in the upcoming winter window as well with the rising star aiming to garner more regular playing time to further his development.
More recently, reports have emerged this week that claimed nine players could leave Wrexham in January.
The stars touted for potential exits are Sam Dalby, Jordan Davies, Jacob Mendy, Anthony Forde, Billy Waters, Steven Fletcher, Mark Howard and James Jones, while Jon Dadi Bodvarsson’s contract is set to expire on December 31st and he’s yet to be offered a new deal.
Aside from all those names, however, there’s another player Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds should look to sell in January.

Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds should sell Will Boyle in January
The man in question is Will Boyle, who joined Wrexham from Huddersfield Town in July 2023.
Boyle made 28 appearances in all competitions during the club’s most recent promotion-winning season and was a real threat in the air, scoring four times.
However, the arrivals of the aforementioned Scarr and Lewis Brunt combined with the improvement Max Cleworth has shown this season has now pushed the 29-year-old firmly down the centre-back pecking order.
The stopper has missed six league games with a calf problem but even when fit, he’s made the matchday squad in League One just once this term.
As a result, with Boyle still a decent age and under contract until 2026, January seems like the perfect time for him to be moved on.
Transfermarkt value Boyle at €200,000 (around £165,000), but that figure is only likely to decrease the longer he spends hardly playing.

Other Wrexham stars who could leave in January
As well as Boyle and the nine players mentioned in the report, there are a couple more names who may benefit from a Wrexham exit.
Modou Faal has struggled for regular playing time and form since his record transfer from West Bromwich Albion.
And with Wrexham wanting to sign a striker next month, a loan move for the 21-year-old could suit all parties.
Elsewhere, 18-year-old Harry Ashfield has looked sharp in his three EFL Trophy outings this term and could benefit from a temporary exit in the second half of 2024/25 to further his development.
