Wrexham drew 1-1 with Birmingham City on Thursday and what Phil Parkinson said post-match could be bad news for Paul Mullin.
The Red Dragons headed into the game as underdogs but more than held their own against the League One leaders.
Ollie Rathbone excelled against Birmingham City, netting a superb goal inside the opening 10 minutes of the clash.
The Tom Brady-owned team managed to get one back in the 18th minute but it was still a largely positive display from Wrexham.
Phil Parkinson praised Max Cleworth for his showing on the night, with Wrexham fans mocking Jay Stansfield after he was shut down by the centre-back.
Elsewhere, George Dobson hailed Rathbone, while Dobson himself was very solid upon his return to the starting lineup.
It was another night to forget for Paul Mullin, however, who once again underperformed off the bench.

Phil Parkinson comments could be bad news for Paul Mullin
Mullin is seriously struggling at Wrexham this season, coming nowhere close to matching the form we have seen from him in lower divisions.
After Birmingham, the 30-year-old now has just two League One goals to his name in 25 appearances.
He once again came off the bench in midweek and was very poor, missing some big chances that could have secured Wrexham three points.
Speaking post-match, Parkinson commented on Wrexham transfers, confirming his team are looking at ‘Championship-level’ players.
He said: “It’s not easy because the players we’re now looking at are at that Championship-level quality and you’re always competing with teams at the top of this division and the lower end of the Championship for those signatures, so it’s not easy.”
Signings are expected to be made at the Racecourse Ground this month and if Championship-level stars arrive, it seems obvious Mullin has no future at the club.
With new additions pending, the Birmingham tie may have been the centre-forward’s last chance to prove he can still be a key player for Wrexham and, as shown by the stats, he really didn’t take it.

With the tie level, the Liverpool-born ace was brought on alongside Steven Fletcher for the final 21 minutes to try and nab a winner.
Yet again, however, he was well off his game and squandered some key opportunities, while being handed a team-low 6.0 rating by Sofascore.
Mullin missed two big chances, failed to complete a single dribble, had just 10 touches, lost his three aerial duels, was offside once, and gave away possession on three occasions.
With Jack Marriott back from injury and a new striker likely to arrive this month, it now looks unlikely the Englishman will ever be a regular starter again.
