Phil Parkinson’s future at Wrexham has been called into question after a slow start to 2025/26.
After a 3-1 defeat to Queens Park Rangers on Saturday, the Dragons sit 21st in the Championship after five matches.

It comes after a £33m summer transfer spend sanctioned by Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac.
Amid their difficult opening to the Championship campaign, Wrexham have held talks over Phil Parkinson’s future.
There is no question that what Parkinson has achieved at the club in the last several years is remarkable.
However, just like legendary players Paul Mullin and Ollie Palmer, who were so key in the lower divisions, every person at the club has a ceiling.
Should Wrexham indeed decide they want a change in the dugout, one current player will surely be keen to recommend ‘the best coach’ he’s ever had to Reynolds and Mac.

Danny Rohl remains available to Wrexham
During the 2025 summer transfer window, Wrexham signed Josh Windass on a free transfer after his Sheffield Wednesday contract was terminated.
Windass departed amid financial struggles, which also involved manager Danny Rohl being allowed to leave.
Rohl, despite not being backed heavily, had two successful years with Sheffield Wednesday, helping them avoid relegation in 2023/24 before guiding them to a mid-table finish in the Championship last term.
The German knows the league well and has already proven he can get a lot out of a fairly average squad.
As for Windass, he is clearly a fan of Rohl, singing the praises of the former Bayern Munich coach in April 2024.
Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: “It’s been a tough season for everyone, but since Danny’s come in, he’s changed the way we play, and he’s changed the way we all think.
“He’s probably the best coach I’ve ever worked with. I just hope we can finish it off with survival.”
Rohl was linked with a number of Championship clubs over the summer. But they moved on to other targets while his future at Hillsborough was being ironed out, meaning he is still available to any potential suitors right now.

Danny Rohl managerial record
Before joining Sheffield Wednesday, Rohl worked as an assistant for the likes of Bayern Munich, Southampton and RB Leipzig.
With the Owls, despite them not being a top Championship side with plenty of money to spend, his record was solid.
He won 34, drew 19 and lost 36 of his 89 matches in charge of the Yorkshire outfit.
Rohl would bring something different to Wrexham, offering an attack-minded, possession-based system that fans have never really seen on a consistent basis under Parkinson.
