There are now less than five days remaining in the winter transfer window and Wrexham are still expected to be active before deadline day.
In the build-up to the January transfer window opening, it seemed likely Wrexham were going to get their business done early.
It emerged all the way back in November 2024 that the Red Dragons want to sign a striker with Championship experience.
However, a number nine is still yet to arrive at the Racecourse Ground this month, with just one new addition made so far.
Ryan Longman joined Wrexham from Hull City in a deal believed to be worth in the region of £500,000.
A solid rotation up but there is still work to be done in Wales if Phil Parkinson and co. want to make a proper push for automatic promotion.
With that in mind, we have taken a look at what a dream end to the transfer window may look like at Wrexham.

Wrexham sign Sam Smith from Reading
Wrexham have been struggling to get a new number nine through the door so far this month.
Joe Gelhardt has joined Hull despite interest from the League One outfit and various other targets don’t appear close to arriving.
Wrexham are not expected to sign Michael Smith from Sheffield Wednesday despite heavy interest this month.
But the Red Dragons have now turned their attention to another of his namesake, pursuing Reading’s Sam Smith.
A Wrexham move for Smith may prove tricky to complete as The Royals can’t replace him owing to their transfer embargo.
But he has 11 goals already this term in League One and would be a much, much better option than Ollie Palmer in the target man role.

Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney sanction two Wrexham exits
While incomings should be the focus in the final few days of the transfer window, it’s imperative Wrexham also balance their squad.
Anthony Forde was unable to be registered in League One for the first half of 2024/25 due to their squad size.
And with another forward expected to arrive this month, exits must be sanctioned by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney to ensure players are all earning enough minutes.
With Longman now set to cover Ryan Barnett at right-wing-back, it makes sense for Sebastian Revan to be loaned out in the second half of 2024/25.
Revan has underperformed at Wrexham since his summer transfer and may need to leave in order to rediscover his best form.
Meanwhile, given he’s played less than 90 minutes of League One football this season, Modou Faal should also be allowed to secure a temporary exit.
